Danielle & Russell chose The Houstonian Hotel for their ceremony & reception, with all Wedding Day activities taking place on the lush Houston Galleria property. Danielle began the morning in the Sequoia Room of The Houstonian, along with several attendants and family members for Hair and Make Up provided by Brandie Seifert of Image Artistry.

The ladies transitioned to photos with Chase Pedigo of Pedigo Photography as they finished their preparations, and Russell and his groomsmen gathered in the hotel’s Mahogany Room to complete their ceremony arrangements.

Meanwhile, the teams from Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events and Wedding Bliss Events paired up to transform the hotel’s Aspen Room for the ceremony and Juniper Room for the reception.
A slightly raised stage was built in the Aspen Room to hold the wedding party during the ceremony. The platform was backed by a wall of candles and enhanced with 2 extra-large wedding urns of flowers; ivory hydrangea, quicksand roses, crème majolica, spray roses, calla lilies, and blush & ivory garden roses. A burgundy carpet lined the length of the center aisle and was edged with ivory & blush rose petals.

As the guests began arriving, they were invited to sign the guest book in the hotel foyer. A string quartet serenaded from within the Aspen Room and were provided by Trade Entertainments.
At 7PM, the family procession into the ceremony began with Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, followed by Russell and the wedding party. Danielle entered with her father to PacheBel’s Canon in D.

She was stunningly dressed in a sweetheart cut, French lace mermaid dress, as she joined Russell to light a Unity Candle before reciting their vows. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the wedding party exited to Vivaldi’s Spring from The 4 Seasons.
The hotel’s foyer had been transformed to a lounge atmosphere, and guests enjoyed a Jazz Trio and cocktails, as the wedding party gathered to complete their after-ceremony photos. As Happy Hour wrapped up, guests were invited to the reception in the Jupiter Room where the couple’s reception was revealed, and the evening’s magical feel increased significantly.
A sweetheart table was positioned at the head of the dance floor and was backed by a romantic candle wall.

Eighteen tables surrounded the dance floor, alternating between taller or lower centerpieces. The higher centerpieces featured stunning rose-gold Manzanita branches rising from a base of flowers. Glass globes with tea lights hung from the branches above the platinum capri linens. The lower centerpieces consisted of a European-inspired compote bowl filled with Danielle’s choice of flowers and set atop glittering silver sequin linens. The tablescapes were further enhanced by rose-gold, glass chargers, fine glassware & utensils, and preset salads.
The wedding party was introduced to the gathering, and Danielle & Russell shared their first dance as husband and wife. Danielle’s brother offered a prayer before the meal, and the guests were invited to eat as our wedding couple slipped off to eat a private meal alone.
The Houstonian provided an interactive buffet for the guests, serving Moroccan chicken brochettes, saffron couscous, dried currants, and risotto, and a carving station serving Round of Beef, jalapeno potato gratin and green beans.
After returning to the ballroom to visit with their guests, the couple prepared to cut the cake, a Susie’s Cakes creation. The 4-tiered cake’s layers alternated between white cream or chocolate layers, with chocolate filling and buttercream frosting. The cake was further enhanced by gold Corinthian lace and topped with roses.

Danielle & Russell each said a few words of thanks to those gathered, and the dance floor opened with contemporary dance music. In addition to the beats of the ballroom, guests enjoyed the adjacent open air patio and hand-rolled cigars, also provided by Trade Entertainments.
As the clock approached midnight, Danielle & Russell entered the dance floor for the Last Dance surrounded by their family and friends. As the dance ended, guests lined the dance floor and created an exit route with bubbles, as Danielle & Russell exited for the evening.
Our sincere thanks to Kara Landrith of the Houstonian for her professionalism and thoroughness. The Houstonian team was on top of every detail, missing nothing. We sincerely appreciate our collaboration at the Houstonian and look forward to many more in the future!
