11/3/18 Jill S’s Baby Shower

Mother-to-be Jill needed an Event Planner to help celebrate the upcoming birth of her daughter Juliette.  With less than 2 weeks for planning, Wedding Bliss Events was referred by Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events to help pull off this special day.   Given gorgeous Fall weather and an amazing venue selection, this was to be a grand affair for the all-female guest list! The day began early in Baytown at Plantation On The Bay, the site of the Baby Shower.  Jill, her mother and sister arrived promptly for makeup and hair and were given access to the private Bridal Suite on the property.  Liz Kelly with Misty Rockwell Makeup Artistry provided the ladies with professional makeup, while Simple Beauty enhanced their hair.  Once ready, Jill began a series of maternity photos with Jewel Cole Photography, taking advantage of the many picturesque settings provided by the Estate.  In an assortment of long gowns, Jill posed on a velvet settee on the estate’s rolling green lawn, perched on the hanging swing of an old oak tree, and stood in various possesses at the Estate’s beautiful white, bay-side Gazebo. Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events provided plush French Provential Seating in rose and burgundy, paired with glass and gold accent furniture for the Main Hall.  They dressed the formal dining tables in soft, dusty rose and lilac linens, and placed table settings with glass & gold chargers, gold embellished china, and gold-tone flatware.  Formal glassware was provided by A Finer Event.  The effect was stunning and further enhanced by the use of candlelight and abundant florals. Rexberry used mixed bouquets throughout the venue in combinations of soft pinks and lilacs; stargazer and Asiatic lilies, hydrangea, and roses in a variety of colors and sizes, all displayed with lush greenery.  Centerpieces altered between low, gold-tone, bouquet-topped compote bowls and tall, bouquet-adorned candelabras. Chef Edilman Molina from Tosca Americana wowed the guests with Bacon-wrapped Scallops and Duck, Bacon & Corn Wontons before opening an extensive buffet.  The buffet featured delectable Smoked Salmon, savory Beef Wellington, Herbed French Chicken Breast, and a fresh Seafood Strudel.  While the guests enjoyed these treats, they listened to soft pop music played by the Avalon Music Agency Quartet. The team from Mélange Catering built a decadent dessert table, featuring an assortment of single-serving Crème Brulee, a colorfully festive Macaron tree, and Pistachio/Chocolate Chip-encrusted Cannolis.  But no dessert table would be complete without a cake!  So Jill’s pink, lilac and cream colored cake was provided by Honeybee’s Bakery in Baytown and featured layers of Lemon with Cream Cheese, German Chocolate with German Chocolate Frosting, and French Vanilla with Raspberry Filling. Wedding Bliss Events provided the guests with Golf Cart transportation from the parking lot to the Main Hall driven by a pair of local high school boys hired for the occasion.  We also provided fine white draping and swaging to soften the appearance of the exterior tent.  In addition to coordinating with the venue and communicating with each of the many vendors during the short period preceding the shower, Dewayne and the Wedding Bliss Events Team added enhancing touches to the Estate’s décor, assisted in greeting the guests, provided accommodations to various family members, facilitated adherence to the event timeline, and participated in the event teardown.  As a team, we were once again able to Make Extraordinary Happen!
