10/7/18 Alisa & Hany’s Wedding
After many years of knowing mutual friends in their shared industry, Alisa & Hany’s paths finally crossed. Their wedding was all about bringing 2 large families together to celebrate this long-awaited union. They selected the River Oaks Garden Club as their venue, giving their guests multiple options for private fellowship, communal dining, and plenty of energetic fun.
The afternoon ceremony was held outside in the Main Courtyard under a spacious, clear-top tent provided by Any Occasions, which lent visibility to River Oaks Garden Club’s extensive lawns and immaculate gardens. The estate was beautifully adorned with pink roses, white hydrangea, white calla lilies, and candles provided by Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events.
Following the formal ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres provided by Mélange Catering with a nod toward Alisa’s Italian and Hany’s Egyptian heritage. Appetizers including Hummus with Flatbread, Baba Ghanoush and Tabouleh were served with a selection of wines and cocktails. Guests were encouraged to stroll the beautiful grounds while listening to background music performed by the Michael Owen Duo with vocals by Lisa Reichstein.
Later in the evening, dinner was served in the formal dining room, again by Mélange Catering. Guests were offered a choice of Grape Leaf Wrapped Swordfish or Braciola, served with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Spring Vegetables, and Greek Salad.
In lieu of a large wedding cake, the couple opted for a small, single layer Vanilla Cake with Buttercream Frosting, surrounded by dozens of Vanilla and Chocolate Cupcakes and Mediterranean dessert delicacies; Baklava, Cannolis, and Italian Wedding Cookies.
As dinner ended, the dancing began to the beats of DJ Jose Rivera, and the couple and their friends danced the evening away amongst the fountains and flowers of the River Oaks Garden Club, with so many moments throughout the afternoon evening caught by the lenses of Alex Cross Photography. Much fun was had by all, and the Wedding Bliss Events Team once again was able to Make Extraordinary Happen!
