2/23/19 – Alice & Alistair

In addition to bringing together 2 families and a lot of friends, Alice & Alistair’s wedding celebrated the couple’s unique cultures; Taiwanese & British.  They chose the French-Mediterranean style of The Gallery, located on Beverly Hill Street in the Galleria area of Houston as the site of both their wedding ceremony and their reception.

As the guests walked passed tall oaks and magnolias dotting the property and guarded by gargoyles, Luxe Videography began capturing the day on video.  Ascending the front stairwell to the open courtyard for the outdoor ceremony revealed dozens of light strands suspended above the courtyard and a backdrop of greenery; enhancements provided by Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events.

Dressed in formal gray tuxedos, the 8 dapper grooms-attendants awaited the start of the wedding procession.  As the music began, provided by Master of Ceremonies John Ortiz and Access DJs, the grooms-attendants escorted the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids up the aisle.  The ladies wore long, open-shouldered satin gowns in eggplant and carried bouquets of white roses, Hypericum berries & Queen Anne’s lace.

Our lovely bride entered the ceremony courtyard area from the top of the exterior brick stair case in a well fitted mermaid laced dress with a sweetheart front, trailing a beautiful sheer veil and laced train. Her father greeted her at the base of the stairwell and walked her down the winding path to her waiting groom in his handsome grey English tails. Our very own Dewayne Ross also officiated the wedding ceremony.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the wedding party participated in a photo shoot with Agape Photography, while guests were invited to the second floor of The Gallery to the venue’s bar.  Engagement photos of the couple lined several walls of the large barroom, and guests enjoyed an assortment of beverages provided by Café Natalie.

The upstairs bar room was also the location of a large, antique mirror on which Half Moon Lettering had beautifully written the table assignments of all 110 guests.  And an interactive photo booth infused the area with fun and was provided by DJ’s Entertainment.

The upper balcony directly outside the barroom provided a scenic view overlooking the Courtyard and hosted an attended Cigar Station with an eclectic selection of cigars; each sporting the couple’s custom logo.

Soon the guests were invited back downstairs to the venue’s Dining Hall.  LBL Event Rentals provided the linens; eggplant for the dining tables and hunter green for secondary tables, and the gold chargers.  Rexberry Luxury Weddings & Events further adorned the table settings with a collection of red roses.

MC John Ortiz introduced the wedding party to the guests, and each of the 9 couples danced a short, choreographed dance ranging from The Robot to The Tango.  Following the introductions, guests dined on a selection of Peppercorn Seared Beef Tenderloin, Apple & Pistachio Roasted Chicken, or Grilled Red Snapper Vera Cruz provided by Bailey-Connor Catering.

The Bride’s cake was a beautiful 4-tiered Almond cake with vanilla butter cream frosting and raspberry filling.  The Groom’s cake was a Chocolate-Chocolate Caramel Cake formed into a realistic interpretation of a case of vintage whiskey.  Both cakes were the inspiration and creation of Who Made The Cake.

In addition to the 2 cakes, anyone with a sweet tooth was invited to a selection of international candies at the couple’s Candy Station.  From Chinese Lucky Candy and Hi-Chews, to European Fruit Pastilles and Ghirardelli, to American Pop Rocks, the sweets truly ranged to globe.

The celebrations continued into the night with pulsing music and much happiness shared by all, but the couple saved one more surprise for the end.  Large 3-foot sparklers lined an exit path for the elated couple as they parted in the back of a White 1963 Rolls Royce Convertible with red leather interior provided by Jordan Limousines.

The entire Wedding Bliss Events Team wishes a lifetime of joy for Alice & Alistair!
